For The Cats Others Forgot.

Community cats may be overlooked by many, but they still deserve compassion, safety, and care.

Trap-Neuter-Return saves lives—and together, we can make a difference.

What Is TNR?

One Cat Can Change Everything.

One unspayed female cat and her offspring can lead to hundreds of cats over time.

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) breaks that cycle — humanely and permanently.

Here's how it works:

Community cats are safely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the outdoor home where they were found.

TNR is the only approach proven to actually reduce community cat populations over time, and it lets healthy cats stay right where they belong — without the fighting, yowling, and constant litters that come with an unaltered colony.

One surgery today can prevent generations of suffering tomorrow.

Making TNR Accessible

A TNR surgery costs $90 without a voucher.

But financial circumstances should never prevent someone from seeking help for community cats.

Assistance may be available through:

  • FCAP – fcap@cap4pets.org
  • Harris County Pets – communitycats@countypets.com

If you'd like the cats returned to their outdoor home after surgery, you may request a voucher through Harris County Pets.

Harris County Pets also offers Shelter-Neuter-Return (SNR) services. Simply trap the cat(s), call for pickup, and they will transport the cats for surgery. After recovery, the cats are returned within 0.2 miles of where they were found.

If you're unsure which option is right for your situation, we're here to help guide you through the process.
